Veena Manvi – Early Life and Background
Veena Manvi was born on 27 March 1977 into a middle-class family. Her father served as a headmaster in a Kendriya Vidyalaya, while her mother was a homemaker. She had an elder brother, Vinay Chaudhary, who studied at NIT Katra and was around 13–14 years younger than her.
During a very difficult phase of her life, Veena lost her father, Late Shri S. N. Chaudhary, in a tragic road accident while she was appearing for her Class 10 examinations. This incident marked the beginning of many hardships in her journey.
Veena completed her schooling in a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Maharashtra. Due to family challenges, the entire family later shifted to Bokaro, Bihar (now Jharkhand), where she completed her college education.
At that time, Veena developed a strong interest in journalism and began working with a print media organization called Jan Mukti Aahwan during her first year. However, an unfortunate incident forced her to leave journalism, after which she decided to dedicate herself to the field of education and social work.
Veena Manvi married Parth Sarathi in 1995. She is a proud mother of two children — her son Prithvi Jaiswal and daughter Prarthana Jaiswal.

The Beginning of Mahila Vikas Manch
After facing several years of personal struggles and domestic violence, Veena Manvi chose to transform her pain into strength. In 2013, she came together with supportive women and social workers to establish an organization that could stand against the suffering, injustice, and violence faced by women.
This vision led to the creation of Mahila Vikas Manch, a platform built to raise voices for women’s rights, dignity, and empowerment.
A few years later, while supporting a woman in a case involving a political leader, a private conversation of Veena Manvi was unlawfully leaked to the media by a well-known Member of Parliament. As a result, she became the target of massive online abuse and harassment.
Despite this, many people stood by her side, fought alongside her, and supported her mission. From that moment onward, Veena Manvi and Mahila Vikas Manch never looked back.
Today, Mahila Vikas Manch is not only active in Bihar but has expanded across several states in India. It has become a powerful source of support and strength for lakhs of women and men, continuing its mission of justice, empowerment, and social welfare.
